Cloud Architect

The Cloud Architect designs, builds, and deploys cloud solutions across public, private and hybrid cloud environments to support enterprise clients. They plan for system and application migration to the cloud, adhering to the technical and business requirements. The Cloud Architect develops and documents technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications/systems and optimizes cost by identifying waste and automating cloud cost management. They provide a technical or SME interface to the customer for their specific areas and participates in customer meetings and reviews.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process using micro-services.
Design, develop, evaluate, and manage end-to-end cloud computing solutions and integrations of new applications.
Carry out deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management tasks within this implemented cloud structure.
Keep on top of usage of space in the cloud and making sure the structure is operating at full efficiency.
Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
Work closely with IT security to monitor the company’s cloud privacy.
Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
Be proactive in keeping skillsets up to date.
Interact with Managers, Project Managers, Vendors and others as required to meet project schedules.
Interface with Customer Support to ensure customer issues are handled promptly and accurately.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field
AWS/Azure/GCS Certification is a plus
8-10+ years in an engineering discipline related to software
3-5+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions
Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies such as MS Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Systems and current computing trends.
Excellent knowledge of virtual environments, containerization and deployments using Hyper-V, docker, Jenkins etc.
Experience with Containerizing and clustering tools such as Compose, Docker, Dockerfiles, ECS, Helm, Kubernetes, Nginx, Vagrant.
Experience with Micro-services, monitoring tools, and CI/CD.
Knowledge of wireless technologies and related protocols is a plus (5G, LTE, GSM)
Demonstrated experience leading or participating in new product development activities

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver with high quality
Ability to learn fast and work in a team environment
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
Fluent in English.

Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
